Department Name FOOD SERVICES Job Description POSITION SUMMARYNonexempt (Hourly - Eligible for overtime) To coordinate and supervise food preparation, tray assembly and distribution of patient meals and snacks.
To ensure cleanliness, sanitation and proper handling and storing of foods and supplies.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSWork experience may NOT substitute for minimum education requirement.
High School diploma or GED and one (1) year of related experience required.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND SKILLSPerforms nightly check of equipment to ensure everything is properly shut off and the area is locked.
Supervises delivery and retrieval of patient meals, including late trays.
Ensures new employees receive appropriate training.
Ensures trays are delivered within an appropriate time frame.
Checks tray-line daily for accuracy of menus as served to patients.
Ensures work area and equipment are clean according to established procedures.
Assigns, supervises and assists with cleaning and sanitation.
Maintains a health inspection report of 90% or higher.
Monitors quality of patient trays.
Oversees personnel to ensure appropriate behavior in patient care areas during tray delivery.
